Summer Concert Series - Passing the Torch - Tribute to Whitney Houston

A night of soul, inspiration, and powerhouse performances awaits as Passing the Torch takes center stage on the Vox Stage at the Town Green. This unforgettable evening features Melanie Amaro, winner of The X Factor USA, on a riveting musical journey honoring the late, great Whitney Houston.

Through breathtaking vocals and heartfelt storytelling, Melanie Amaro pays tribute to some of Whitney Houston’s biggest and most beloved hits while also sharing personal and emotional memories, including her first time meeting Whitney herself. The result is a moving celebration of legacy, talent, and the enduring power of music to inspire generations.

Live music begins at 7:00 PM, with the Vox Stage transforming into a powerful tribute experience around 8:15–8:30 PM as the headlining performance begins. This is a show meant to be felt as much as heard—expect soaring vocals, quiet moments of reflection, and unforgettable sing-along choruses that honor Whitney Houston’s enduring legacy. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or discovering these songs in a new way, Passing the Torch offers a deeply moving summer night of music, memories, and shared emotion in Peachtree Corners.

Park and Walk: Free parking is available in the Town Center Parking Deck or on-street within the Town Center. Additional parking is available off Davinci Court (3720 Davinci Ct, 3715 Davinci Ct, or 2745 Davinci Ct).

Ride Share: Drop off and pick up location is The Piedmont Bank, 5100 Peachtree Parkway.

PROHIBITED ITEMS: For the safety and convenience of all guests, please note the following prohibited items on the Town Green:

• Large or Rolling Coolers
• Tables larger than 2 feet
• Tarps, Blankets, Inflatable Furniture

Attendees are welcome to start setting up items after 8 am on the day of the concert. Please note that tarps and blankets are prohibited and will be folded up if left behind to make room for as many attendees as possible. Guests are expected to behave respectfully and in accordance with Town Green policy, state, and local laws. Any guest acting in a manner deemed unsafe can be subject to eviction.
